Let the Owls into School
Welcome to the second year of the project Let the Owls into School.
The civil society Arnika and the Czech Society for Ornithology provide this project called Let the Owls into School to children in Prague.
The aim of the project is that children enjoy beiing in the nature and observing the birds. In this way they develop certain feeling to recognize the nature, which gives hope, that they become young enthusiastic ornithologist one day.
Project's activities are split up to following segments within a year period:
- Lectures including a show with living owls in selected schools
- Night walks to observe owls living in nature locations in Prague
- Competition Our Owls culminated by an exhibition of the works and the honouring of the winners
- Field trip focused on ornithological studies for the winner of the year, which take place in Běstvina this year.
In the school term 2004/2005 the lectures take place in the period from 4th October until 15th December 2004 on appointment arranged by the headmaster of the school. All participants in the lectures are welcome to participate in the competition Our Owls.
